PHUKET
Of the fourteen provinces in southern Thailand, Phuket is the
only island province, and as Thailand's largest island
it has a plethora of natural attractions as well as the beaches.
Bhromthep Peninsula which stretches into the sea towards the
southern end of the island could easily become one of the favorite
places for people to visit -- especially in the evenings to watch
the setting sun in a part of the island where it looks
especially effective.
Chalong Bay
A natural harbour famed for its tin mining.
Wat Chalong is a frequently visited temple,
housing the statues of two highly revered monks.

Only 862 kilometres from Bangkok, Phuket is easily
accessible by land, rail and air.
