Kamphaeng Phet
Historical evidence shows that Kamphaeng Phet, an ancient city, is older than the Sukhothai Kingdom. Buddha images of the Dvaravati Period of 1,000 years old have been discovered at the Kathing Temple in Kamphaeng Phet. The revival of Nop Phra and Len phleng is also designed to promote tourism in Kamphaeng Phet, which was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1991. Visitors are advised to spend afew days there to appreciate The World Heritage Site, and enjoy local dishes as Chakangrao noodles and fried Egg Banana. Floating lamps flickering in the sky, a way of worshipping Lord Buddha.

About 385 kilometers from Bangkok, Kamphaeng Phet can be reached by a drive of three hours and a half.
