Wat Phra Thart Doi Suthep
Wat Phra Thart Doi Suthep is 3,051 feet above sae level. The temple and gold covered chedi can be reached by climbing the 300 steps which are flanked by two seven-headed nagas.

Night Bazaar Market
One of the city's main attractions is the night market which comes to life when the sun goes down. The bazaars and shoping plazza which sell anything from T-shirt to costume jewellery and reproduction antiques are situated along Chang Khian Road.

Bor Sang
Bor Sang is famous for umbrella making and the main road in the village is lined with shops displaying colorful umbrellas.

Sankampaeng
In Sankampaeng, woodcarving, silver, and ceramics making are among the noted handicrafts.

The Sankampaeng Hot Spring
Situated on the Chiang Mai - Sankampaeng Route, The Sankampaeng Hot Spring is easy to find as there are signs along the way directing tourists to the site.

Phuping Palace
The summer residence of Their Majesties the King and Queen during their visit to Chiang Mai. The palace compound is open to the public whenever no members of the royal family are not in resident. Flower blooms are best seen around the palace in the Cool Season.

Doi Inthanon National Park
Doi Inthanon is Thailand's hightest mountain with cool weather all year round and rare plant species.

Wat Suan Dok
This spacious temple has the largest viharn in the northern province. There are a number of small chedis which house the ashes of Chiang Mai's royal families. The largest of the chedis is said to have no less than eight Buddha relics inside.
